CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

More Than Just a School — A Place to Belong

At JPS Academy, Assandh, learning extends well beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular activities give students the chance to find what they are good at, build a skill and grow in confidence.

The JPS Academy pipe band

Music & Dance

Rhythm, movement and the school pipe band.

The rhythmic moves and actions are learnt to have flexibility and portraying the characters.

The school has its own pipe band, with bagpipes. In 2025-26 the academy took Third Position at national level in both Group Song and Group Dance.

Art & Craft

Where imagination takes shape.

Art and craft runs throughout the school, and our children compete well beyond it.

In 2025-26, first places at district level in Painting, Poster Making, Clay Modelling and Diya Candle Decoration.

Chess

Think ahead. Play smart.

Chess is played across the age groups and taken seriously.

First Position at the Karnal District Chess Tournament, 2025-26.

Sports

Every child finds a game that fits.

Students have option of indulging in the sport of their choice for an overall development.

Running track, football ground, basketball and badminton courts, volleyball, table tennis, skating ground and a synthetic lawn tennis court.

Strength, discipline and self-confidence.

Wushu, Jiu-Jitsu and other disciplines, taught on campus and taken to District, State, National and International competition.

Harshit of Grade X took a Silver Medal at the National Ji-Jitsu Championship in 2025-26.

NCC

The school runs an NCC unit with the Indian Army. Cadets have earned their NCC ‘A’ certificates.
